Understanding the Difference

Internal Integrated Batteries

HE filters are NIOSH-approved, high-efficiency filters tested to perform in heavy dust and airborne particulate conditions. MAXAIR® offers three HE filter options for compatible Cuff, Gaiter, and Shroud configurations: the 2167-10, 2166-10 Nuisance Organic Vapor filter, and lightweight 2180XP-100. Each filters particulates beyond the minimum required for NIOSH approval.

External Legacy Batteries

PAPR100-N is a newer NIOSH classification designed for lighter, more cost-effective PAPR systems. The “N” means the filter is intended for non-oily airborne particles, and PAPR100 systems include a low-airflow warning for added wearer awareness. MAXAIR®’s lightweight 2181XP-100 filters particulates beyond the minimum required for NIOSH approval.

The 2600-04 Charger connects directly to the CAPR® IH and CAPR® IR Helmets, allowing one or two installed batteries to charge without being removed. A clear LED indicator changes from red to green when charging is complete.
External Batteries Charger
External Battery Charger
The 2600-03 Charger provides convenient off-helmet charging for one or two MAXAIR® 2500-25 Li-Ion batteries simultaneously. Spring-loaded battery holders and individual LED indicators provide a simple way to prepare batteries for their next use.

Single Charger
The MAXAIR® Single Charger, REF 2600-02, provides a compact, reliable solution for charging one lithium-ion battery at a time. Its universal power supply and automatic shutoff help keep individual CAPR® systems charged and ready for use.
6 Gang Charger v2
6 Gang Charger
The MAXAIR® 6-Gang Charger, REF 2602-06, powers up to six batteries from a single outlet, helping teams reduce clutter and simplify charging. The optional 6-Gang Charger Bracket, REF 2602-06B, can also organize up to six existing single chargers into one convenient, space-saving charging station.
Volt Meter
Volt Meter
The Volt Meter provides a convenient, efficient way to verify the remaining charge of external TSC lithium-ion batteries. Simply connect the battery to the meter to view its current charge level without attaching it to the helmet.
