CAPR® PR System

Simplifying Protection For Everyone

The Legacy of MAXAIR®

CAPR® PR Helmet

MAXAIR®’s CAPR® PR one of the legacy systems that started it all. The CAPR® PR helmet is a base option for our Bonnet, PR Hood, and PRS Hood configurations. Its lightweight, balanced design provides a cleaner, simpler experience.

NIOSH Approved Protection

The CAPR® PR is a loose-fitting PAPR that provides NIOSH approved respiratory protection to every team member.

3-in-1 Protection

CAPR® PR’s comprehensive 3-in-1 protection, combining the performance of an N95 respirator, PAPR, and Surgical Helmet System into one streamlined solution.

Simple Design for Rapid Response

The system’s simple, integrated design enables users to assemble and don their equipment quickly and easily—faster than ever before.

Cage

The Cage is a snap-on helmet component that protects the motor during shipping and supports use of filter caps and hood configurations.

Mounting Adapters

The PR Helmet has three Mounting Adapters, one in front and on each side. These adapters are used to attach Bonnet and Hood configurations directly to the helmet.

Motor

The Motor draws in contaminated air through the filter, then pushes the clean air to the wearer.

Power Cord

The Power Cord connects the helmet to the battery. When the power cord is inserted into the battery, the helmet automatically turns on.

Chinbar

The Chinbar provides lens stability for Gaiter, Bonnet, and Hood configurations while staying discreet and out of the wearer’s field of vision.

Rear Adjustment Knob

The Rear Adjustment Knob allows for a secure, customized fit across a wide range of head sizes.

Belt

The Belt holds the battery securely and comfortable around the wearer's waist.

Battery

The Battery powers the helmet through a thin power cord and attaches securely to the belt, keeping it out of the way while remaining easily accessible to the wearer.

How it Works

1
Contaminated Air

Contaminated outside air is drawn into the helmet by the motor and directed through the filter.

2
Filtered Air

The filtered air is then directed down across the user’s face through 10 airflow openings located beside the helmet LEDs.

3
Source Control

Source control filters the wearer’s exhaled breath through the rear cuff filter, helping protect those around them.

Source Control

Source control filters the wearer’s exhaled breath through the rear cuff filter, helping protect those around them.
