MAXAIR® CAPR® SPS helps protect patients and surgical teams while simplifying workflows with comfortable, all-in-one protection.
Unlike conventional surgical helmet systems, CAPR® SPS goes beyond basic barrier protection by bringing advanced respiratory protection, source control, and surgical coverage into one streamlined solution.
Designed to replace multiple layers of PPE, CAPR® SPS helps reduce complexity while improving comfort, confidence, and workflow efficiency in the OR.
Each MAXAIR® CAPR® SPS is built around one core helmet platform: the CAPR® IH or CAPR® PR.
CAPR® SPS supports seamless protection with effortless usability, adjustable airflow, quiet operation, and a lightweight, balanced design.
Source control filtration helps reduce outward particulate exposure, supporting protection for patients and surrounding personnel.
CAPR® SPS supports streamlined compliance and cost efficiency by replacing the need for multiple conventional systems.
The MAXAIR® CAPR® helmet is the legacy helmet-based PAPR. The system includes the helmet, power cord, battery, and waist-mounted belt.
MAXAIR®'s CAPR® IH helmet is the next generation of the CAPR®. This system is a fully integrated helmet-based PAPR with no external components.
The MAXAIR® PRS Hood is part of the CAPR® Surgical Protection System, an advanced 3-in-1 surgical protection system designed to redefine safety for patients, surgeons, and staff. Built for modern OR workflows, CAPR® SPS brings together protection, comfort, and performance in one streamlined system.
Unlike conventional shs’s, CAPR® SPS is designed to meet or exceed the performance of three conventional systems: a surgical helmet system, N95, and PAPR. With 99.99% incoming filtration, 96% outward particulate reduction, APF 1000 protection, no N95, and no fit testing required, CAPR® SPS helps reduce complexity while supporting protection and comfort in the OR.
The sterile PRS Hood provides face, head, and torso coverage with respiratory, contact, and splash protection. Its universal fit, positive-pressure airflow, source control, no fit testing, lightweight material, and gown-tuck design help simplify protection while supporting comfort and a secure fit.
The Surgical Helmet Light is an optional CAPR® SPS accessory that adds focused, adjustable illumination without unnecessary bulk.
Contaminated outside air is drawn into the helmet by the motor and directed through the filter.
The filtered air is then directed down across the user’s face through 10 airflow openings located beside the helmet LEDs.
Source control filters the wearer’s exhaled breath through the rear cuff filter, helping protect those around them.
